hihi! kinda long since i have blogged... well, i'm getting so so lazy...=P Just got back from underwater world at sentosa... E 2 days ocean ambassador was FUN FUN FUN!!!!! Really enjoyed it... E first day, had to wake up EARLY... ZZZzzzz. Rach arrived late at my house, signed e constant form and went take bus... We waited for so long! and ended up meeting late... =P Ops... Toke bus in, had some talk and toured e place likie normal visitors. everything was about e same... But e sting ray pool was SO nice! though i didn't really dare touch then and ended up poking one(by accident!!!) The sea angels were so tiny and really look like angels! Then learnt more about the other crabs and hardly seen creatures. Saw this HUGE HUGE fish, cannot remember name...=P And the vegetarian cousin of e piranhas!!!! hehe. Rach malued herself by playing with this puzzle which made a loud sound...instead of listening...Learnt about crabs... jelly fish and then the diff type of fish in e tunnel... E stuff in there almost e same la... Later went to the dolphin lagoon where we watched the cute and intelligent dolphin perform tricks...Even kissed some volunteers!!! hehe, very sweet. Right after the show, we actually suppose to go down and touch the dolphins in pair, but then it RAINED!!!! ZZzzzz. Hopefully waited for the rain to stop. ONe of the instructors came and gave us a talk about how he train the dolphins. Rui Wen then went on asking about e mating things... LOL. Learnt that Little Splash (dolphin) was born in e lagoon... The talk was interesting, smt u never really knoe...Like how they train and stuff... Heard e pay was not that gd... but then the job is really interesting and u only need to knoe how to swim! Maybe when i grow up... can come... But see first la...=P Too bad the rain did not stop, so want to wash out legs... lucky i brought slippers!!! Took bus back where me and rach followed Wei Rong and all to Vivo. But later split. There only got 3 fast food restaurant lox.. and so ex... BK, Cr J and Long John (xian of it le)... So me and Rach went Giant where we bought Pringles, bread and $1 choc!!!! all on budget today... The ride back was so much faster then the ride here!! It was still drizzling when i got hm... Bathed and stuff... Packed and TO SLEEP!!! Really tired.... =P Second day.... Rach's mother came to fetch me there. First we went to drop Rach's bro at sailing centre... he look so cute in e over sized shirt... hehe... Later went off. Andrew and Rach were singing some song which confused poor Andrew... Something about a hole in the bottom e sea with a log, a bump, a frog and a fly... lol. Upon reaching, Rach's mom met some friends from underwater sea, she also got to knoe a vet for all mammals... Including aquatic animals... Cool ar! Met the rest later and proceeded to the back where we got to do some 'work'... At first me and rach separated, but cause we both cannot get wet, so ended together...=) We had to scrub the algae off the tank... ZZzzz. Well it was the most boring job, but we get to touch and play with the cute baby turtle! =D Others got to feed the shark, turtle while others did the cleaning of e huge fish's tank... heard they had to go into this HUGE HUGE deep round tank with about 4 huge fish... donno e name, and clean e place... scary... heard the fish was nibbling their toes!!! =P Me, rach and 2 other girl had to clean e tank... So split. Me and rach cleaned the most dirty crab tank... Cause it has been in the sun, it had the most algae... The crabs in there were kinda dark in colour, so it made it really hard cause we scared hurt them... The worst part is the more we scrub, the more murky the water, so cannot see the crabs!!!! After some scrubbing, i spotted a crab's leg... OMG... did we kill a crab!!!!!!!!!!!!! PANIC!!! So we stopped, left them alone and went scrub others. When we came back, there was a crab with lesser legs then others... OPPSSSS!!!! So sorry!!!!!!! Did we do it??? gosh.... i feel so horrible... So later just cleaned it very very carefully... One small area at a time... Well at least the tank was very clean in e end...=PPP Played with the baby turtle. =) Watched the other group feed the turtle, fishes and an electric eel!!!! Later we went up to see the otters. They were so cute!!!!!!!!!! hehe. When we went back, looked around at the sharks and crabs. saw the coconut crab, the different small fishes which will follow your finger... and this really huge shark!!! e type u would see in the movies... the more realistic movies la... not like JAWS... It was swimming so so fast, in circles. And the fin kept coming out of water... so scary... And yet dear Rach went so close to the tank and rested her hands over the top... !!!!!! If the shark just swam a little fasted and open it's mouth... it could easily get her handz... and the worst part, it was FEEDING TIME!!!!! Well, i pulled rach away, but guess she was really curious... Lucky nothing happen... phew... We also went to do the surface water feeding. They gave the fishes peas!!!! lol. the plan was that they did surface feeding for the faster fishes while the slow fishes below will be fed by the diver... Also learn about this black shark which would eat what ever smells like food... scary... The other black tip shark are said to be more scared then u scared of them... so guess not so dangerous...=P Later when going back, the dugong was at the surface eating the sea grass... So cute!!! And we also got to touch it...=) Was quite rough... he it was so cute!!!! It turned side ways for a rub!!!! hehe! i love the dugong! Later was lunch! Ate at delifrance and was so tempted by Andrew's eclair which he only st the top choc... lol! hmmm, went back to the room, changed and had some talk from Rach's mom where Andrew really played and tried to distract us from his mom... so naughty... =P He was climbing up the chair, running t his mom and mumbling something, and back up e chair... Then he went to sit on everyone's lap... hehe. Wan Fong liked him alot...=) Later me and Rach went to do some ushering. Had to tear tickets for e visitors... Alot of them asked bout the dolphin lagoon, thinking that it was here cause now the under water world and the dolphin lagoon entry tickets were sold tickets... I already memorized the line le! "Take the red line and alight at the 4th stop...=D" Met one of the girl working there. She was only 16!!! hehe, and it was her 5th day. She was really nice... =) i think i wanna work in underwater world too!!! =P it was fun. The ticket tearing was fun..=P had to tear fast, then some times got problem, very malu.. hehe. There was once when this BIG group of blue caps came... All were rushing to come in so they all threw the tick to me... I rushed like crazy. Then my hands were so full with the corner paper u suppose to tear. In my rush, i accidentally tore over the line...=PPP u should have seen the girl's face... Total SHOCK.. ops... She took it like it was some horrible disfigured thing... =PPPP Later me and rach laughed like crazy... hehe. Got to slacked a little, where i went to play at e touch pool. =) Oh, we also had to staple 5 of the corner ticks together and put them into this bags... Coloured and white... We later switched to the Ray pool where we learnt about the different types of ray and tried to tel visitors there. Well, in total i nly told 2... hehe. They were more interested to knoe if they could touch it or if they were poisonous... lol. The Rays were really cute... the cow nose ray would really come to you and stay there, where u could pet it and then go. It's like they enjoy the pet... like affectionate dogs... =DDD Then the way they flip their 'wings'. it's like giving a high 5... lol... Very cute!!!! Also got to feed them... There were fish, so tong and clam???? The fish and so-tong had to be held in between the fingers and fed to the mouth... kinda scary cause their mouth is under. I get very scared when the sting ray goes over my hand, where i cannot see it. Worried they would suck my whole hand in...=PPPP The clam which was crush could not be help, so gotta put it in your palm.. That one i didn;t dare, but then i was teaching this tourist how to feed it, he asked me to feed it instead.. could not back out, so had to do it lox... Feed the eagle ray... guess it was easier cause their nose were smaller and more nearer to the tip... They are not really good with their aiming of e food, so then tend to over shot and try to backward... But still, i fed it...=DDDD BIG accomplishment!!!! The mascots were really funny!!! hehe, it fun when u knoe how is inside and seeing them wave their short 'fins' and walk like ducks.. lol... guess it must be really heavy and hot in there... despite the air coned place... Loads of ppl loved then and started crowding then 2... One was a shark and one a dolphin. So cute!!! After we are finished, went to the tunnel one last time, where took pics...=D Gathered at the room and changed, filled up some form so that we could come and join it again...=D Then Andrew went to wear the mascot's shoes!!!! he looked to cute!!!! lol. So happy the day was great and SUNNY! so went to the dolphin lagoon, watched the show again and got touch the dolphin!!!!!! FINALLY!!! The other girls were all happily playing and carrying Andrew... he should be really happy with the attention..=P So took pics...=D thank you Imee, then went to wash out legs... Oh, and Andrew got really wet but at least he got to touch e dolphin...=D Later went home in Rach's car... =) Really enjoyed this 2 days ALOT... Many different stuff u can never experience anywhere else... I loved everything and have learnt so so much!!!! hehe, so well, i wanna go AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks rach! for telling me so that i can join!!!! =DDD And to eilien who started it all...=D |
